The Why

When I decided to become a ministry blogger:

Lately, I’ve been tossing around the idea of starting a Christian blog – to be a better Christian, to encourage others, to share my own testimony, to lead others to Christ, to show others my faith in Jesus – ALL the different reasons! But I didn’t really know where to start. I’ve had various sermons at church encouraging me to get started but I always put it off and made excuses because I was scared that I would sound silly, or people would think I didn’t make sense or know what I was talking about. BUT guess what? It doesn’t matter! Today’s church sermon encouraged me, AGAIN, so I finally have decided to stop ignoring Jesus’s calling and just write! I don’t have my website complete yet, another excuse I used many times, so I am typing this on a blank word document that isn’t connected to anything – I’m just typing out my thoughts. A few weeks ago, my preacher mentioned we must be BOLD in our faith – so this is me being bold! I have what seems like a million different topics to cover, and I will – in time – but if you’re willing to follow me, I promise to do my best to show you the goodness of God the best way I can. I will share devotions I’ve read or am currently reading, amazing ways God has shown himself in my life, various notes I’ve taken in church that I feel have resonated with me the most. I don’t have a set plan or idea how I want this website to go, but I am relying on my faith in Jesus to lead me to say the things my readers need to hear. I will also make a strong point to not use my own opinion on things, and if I do so, I will let the reader know! I want this website to be based on biblical truth! I want my website to be a conversation starter, I want my readers to comment, share their own knowledge, ask questions so I can dive deeper into subjects. I want to eventually record myself talking to my readers/followers. But I am working on my own self confidence in doing that, so please bear with me as I start this new year with sharing my faith in hopes of leading others to a relationship with the one true King through ministry blogging.
